ABOUT SUNSHINE AFRICA FOUNDATION

Changing Lives, Impacting Humanity and Mitigating Climate Change.

Sunshine Africa Foundation started in 2006. The idea of creating the foundation came from the Capital Youth Caucus Association – CYCA created in 1995 where youth discussed community issues in villages. Later in 2003, Robert Neuwirth, an independent investigate journalist did a documentation “Shadow Cities: A Billion Squatters, A New Urban World” on how people are living in the slums of Kenya. The association shifted to “Aid Kenya Foundation” to empower women and vulnerable children from remote areas and slums of Kenya to become self-reliant, well- educated to bring about change they need in their respective communities
